1833 Family Holy Bible The Self-interpreting Bible by the Late Rev. John Brown.
The first few blank pages bear a handwritten family tree resulting from the marriage of Will Bannatyne McKinlay to Margaret Boyle on 2oth July, 1826.
The bible is filled with not only the scriptures, but the interpretations of the author and numerous lithographs. It is a fascinating resource!
The leather binding and spine are in wonderful condition for its 200+ years - there is even remnants of the gold gilding remaining. The pages do have some foxing and some insect damage primarily to the front pages. This appears to have happened long ago.
Bible measures 32 high x 25cm wide x 10cm deep
